Little Blue is a 42ft 6ins (12.95m) cruiser style narrowboat built in 2000. The hull is by Floating Homes and the fit-out Eastern Caravans & Narrowboats. The engine is a Beta BV1505 37.5 HP diesel. I became the proud owner on August 17, 2012.

Little Blue’s home is Braunston Marina in Northamptonshire on the Grand Union Canal. Braunston village is situated at the intersection of the Grand Union and Oxford canals which makes it a special location.

The idea of this website is just to keep a record of where I travel with Little Blue and to provide a convenient way to make photos of those travels available to friends and family, if they’re interested.

Very good skipper. I am looking forward to Hetty meeting up with your new boat next year to celebrate its first year and our 60th. Maybe watch the sunset over the Thames at Sheperton lock in a deckchair with a cold beer in hand and contemplate how did we get here so fast.

I’m looking forward to it too.
